We do not have any current plans for a silver front panel on Nautilus or Aurora.
The only reason for this is that we would not be able to shine the LEDs through the front panel with an aluminum panel, which would make it very hard to use the module.

I absolutely love the the the old silver qubit aesthetic. I totally understand that the new panels and LEDs are part of the UI but I still think there is an elegant solution using some kind of LED diffuser array. Just wondering, how many leds are in Nautilus?

There are 13 LEDs on Nautilus, including the button LEDs and the Kelp UI LEDs!
