The “Length” rotary encoder of my Daisy Bloom both skips values but more frustrating, it will reverse direction, that is, turning to the right it will increase step length then start decreasing it and vice versa. I think the encoder contacts have worn away or there is dust in it.
I’m looking for advice as to how to fix this. It doesn’t appear the encoder top cap can be removed to add deoxit F5, so likely I will need to solder on a new encoder. Of course I would prefer to not have to do that. Please advise…
