No dumb questions here! Starting last Thursday, Data Bender’s have begun being tested and boxed with the latest firmware. That being said, it may take a little bit (a few months or so) to assume that all Data Benders in circulation are on the latest firmware.
If you are purchasing a new Data Bender and want to make sure you are on the latest firmware, we recommend confirming your module’s firmware version by checking out the LEDs at boot up. You can find out which firmware your Data Bender is on by checking out the Firmware Version Check section of the manual!
